Once the head passes through the floor,
a 30° turn catches its corners
on the edge of the opening.
It holds by shape, not friction, so it's designed not to loosen easily, even after many fittings.
Insert, then turn 30° to lock
A loose fit when inserting is normal — it locks when you turn it.
To remove, turn it back 30° the other way, then pull it out.
It won't come out if you just pull.

leaving space and airflow underneath.
